Ric Rac Fishbone

Some direct sun is fine, but keep your plant shaded from strong summer sun. Fishbone cacti should receive several hours of indirect light a day. If you notice that your plant has dark patches on it, it’s receiving too much direct sunlight, and those dark spots are burnt areas.

Water when the top few inches of soil feel dry to the touch. Unlike other cacti's, Ric Rac's are not as hardy as their desert cousins when it comes to drought! 

Although a cactus, this plant's natural habitat is a tropical forest so it thrives best in warm, humid environments

The ideal temperature is 15 to 24 °C. Abrupt changes in temperature level are harmful for the plant.

During spring and summer, feed once a month with a general houseplant food. No feeding is necessary during the winter when plant growth naturally slows.  

A Ric Rac is considered non toxic to humans and pets if ingested.
