Monstera Deliciosa

Monsteras are happy in bright, indirect light. They can tolerate low light however, their leaves may not split if they are kept in shade for too long. Avoid direct light as this could scorch the leaves.

It's time to water when the top inch of your Monstereas soil is dry. Your plant is a thirsty so make sure you do give it plenty of watering but do avoid overwatering as this can cause root rot and yellowing leaves.

The Monstera prefers a humid environment. Mist daily to increase humidity levels and replicate the tropical environment it thrives in.

Average indoor temperatures of 18-26°C are best for a Monstera.

During spring and summer, feed once a month with a general houseplant food. No feeding is necessary during the winter when plant growth naturally slows.  

An Monstera is considered toxic to humans and pets if ingested.

The Aglaenoma is a relatively low maintenance plant so following these care instructions should help your plant thrive at home. Propagation is possible - simply snip a stem off of your mother plant and allow to grow roots in a bottle of water, then pot on when roots are well established. You can also prune your plant to maintain shape and size if you wish to keep it small.
