String of hearts love bright, indirect light. Keeping it near a sunny window is a great idea, although too much exposure to direct light will scorch the leaves. Dappled light is perfect.
Allow the soil of your to completely dry out before watering again to prevent overwatering and root rot. During winter months, watering can be less frequent as most plants will be drinking less. Check the soil status regularly to avoid overwatering.
String of hearts is not bothered about high humidity. But it does enjoy the occassional misting.
String of hearts thrive in temperatures between 15-30°C. They can happily handle a drop in temperature, but extended exposure to the cold will kill them off.
During spring and summer, feed once a month with a general houseplant food. No feeding is necessary during the winter when plant growth naturally slows.
String of hearts are not considered toxic to humans and pets! it is also a natural air purifier.
These are super easy to propagate. Just cut & place in water, allow to grow roots and then plant!
